Penn Extends ‘Likely’ Letters (and Videos)

Find out what the University of Pennsylvania’s is say to the up and comming Freshman class.

“Significantly more” than 200 applicants for the University of Pennsylvania’s next freshman class have received “likely” letters, which let them know early that they will soon be offered formal admission, according to The Daily Pennsylvanian.

While the institutions of the Ivy League have mutually agreed to send out such correspondence for years in an effort to woo candidates who may have a range of college choices — sometimes those singled out are minority applicants, others may be interested in a particular field of science — Penn appears to have taken the process a step further this year.
